Community Groups Band Together for ‘Freedom Friday’ Kick-Off
A coalition of community groups have come together to create a new initiative to help support and empower students, children, youth, families, and the community at large.
That group, known as Freedom Schools Buffalo, is having its summer kick-off on Friday, July 16, 2021, and the community is invited to participate.
Freedom Schools Buffalo is a collaboration of community-based educators, healers, and local leaders that use the principles of
liberation education and social justice. Freedom Schools is not a physical school building, but is a movement for change and pull inspiration from local Haudenosaunee culture and the civil rights movement.
The Freedom Friday Summer Kick-Off will run from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. and people are able to attend in-person or virtually via Zoom.

If you can't make the in-person event, you can participate virtually via Zoom. The Meeting ID is 857 8789 8601 and the Password is FREE.
