It's still crazy to me that these folks thought they were being patriots. Here's a video of a man from Western New York who participated in the riots.

A Cheektowaga man was caught on camera not only participating in the pro-Trump riots at the U.S. Capitol, but also allegedly trying to set a fire. Pete Harding told WIVB that he went to the United States Capitol for what he considers a noble cause,

“To stand for freedom and liberty and justice.”

However, in the video above, he can be seen attempting to light a media crew's camera equipment on fire. You can clearly see that part of the equipment responds to Harding's lighter because it turns red and begins a slow burn. Harding, however, told WIVB that it was "symbolic" and that he wasn't really trying to set the crew's property on fire. In the near future, more of these insurgents are sure to be outed, possibly including more from Western New York. We'll keep you updated on all of the fallout from the riots at the Capitol and future insurgency by pro-Trump supporters, so make sure you download the free WBLK app for Android or iPhone and turn on your notifications.

Pro-Trump Rioter Wears Work I.D. Badge, Gets Fired

I'm not sure why these people thought that there wouldn't be repercussions for their violence, destruction of property and attempted coup of the United States government. Because many of them chose not to wear masks, their faces are easily identifiable. DJ Ed Nice shared another story about a man who wore his wore identification badge while participating in the riots. He was fired from his job. It doesn't seem like too bright of an idea to wear your I.D. badge while potentially committing a crime...just my thoughts.

Trump Issues Statement on Peaceful Transition of Power

After Congress finished certifying the results of the 2020 presidential election in the early hours of January 7, 2021, President Trump released a statement about the peaceful transition of power,

"Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th. I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in residential history, it's only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!"

But, I have a feeling that some of his followers are planning more insurgency during the days leading up to President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20, 2021. According to NBC News, they are sharing their plans on social media,

“Many of Us will return on January 19, 2021, carrying Our weapons, in support of Our nation's resolve, towhich [sic] the world will never forget!!! We will come in numbers that no standing army or police agency can match.” ~ Trump supporter on Parler via NBC News

“Round 2 on January 20th. This time no mercy. I don’t even care about keeping Trump in power. I care about war.” ~ Trump supporter on TheDonald.win via NBC News
