As prices continue to climb for pretty much everything, Western New Yorkers are looking for ways to save money. President Trump has said there isn't anything he will do to bring down grocery prices, so NY families will likely see increased food costs in 2025.  I fully expect the prices of consumer goods, utilities, electronics, health insurance, and even rent prices to increase next year. There is some good news...if you're willing to move or if you already live in one of these places.

Which City Is The Most Expensive In New York State?

Most of us New Yorkers already know the answer to that question...NYC, duh! I lived in NYC two decades ago and it was expensive then! I always see the apartment tours in the city on social media and get reminded why I no longer live there. A two feet by 10 feet shoe box, with no kitchen or bathroom, will cost like $5000 per month. NYC residents do generally make more money, but the cost of living cancels it out in my opinion. I would much rather live in an affordable city and have money to travel to NYC.
