Cattaraugus County Reveals August Health Inspection Results

Cattaraugus County has published its health inspection violations from August. Each month, health code inspectors visit various restaurants and other spots - like churches, fire stations, camps, etc. - and grade their operations, looking for violations.

Restaurants can receive violations such as, "Insects, rodents present" and "Plumbing and sinks not properly sized, installed, maintained; equipment and floors not properly drained." Some restaurants end up with critical violations like, "Enough hot holding equipment is not present, properly designed, maintained and operated to keep hot foods above 140°F."

The good news is that last month there were 16 restaurants that passed with flying colors! These are the spots (listed below) we should be supporting.
