After winning the Best Hip-Hop trophy at the MTV Video Music Awards on Monday (Aug. 26), you would think that Cardi B would be in a celebratory mood. However, it looks like the rap superstar has some things she wants to get off her chest.

On Wednesday (Aug. 28), Bardi went on a Twitter rant recalling her days struggling to get her now multi-platinum album Invasion of Privacy done while she was pregnant and being depressed.

"I did it all while I was pregnant.Throwing up, drowsy, terrible colds and in a rush to finish it so I can start doing music videos before I started showing," she wrote in part. "I spend 24 hours for months sleeping on a couch with my pregnant depressed ass in a studio."

Bardi, who will hit the road this weekend, went on to reveal that she had to get her husband Offset to help her get features on the album from artists many of whom declined or wanted to charge her six figures just for a feature.

"When I kept seeing the certifications of the songs going gold or platinum I was so excited cause my husband was out here asking everybody for a feature on my behalf so the ones that said yes thank you from the bottom of my heart cause TRUST ME ALOT OF ARTIST SAID NO!"

"OR CHARGING 6 figures for a feature," she added in a now deleted tweet.

In the end, Bardi is grateful of her much-earned success and remembers a comment the late Nipsey Hussle told her after she won the Best Rap Album award at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

"When I won Nipsey said on a comment to me WHEN IS YOUR TIME IS YOUR TIME!" she wrote. "Now when I speak to upcoming artist or people who ask me for advice I tell them the same thing! WHEN IS YOUR TIME IS YOUR TIME and when it comes don’t let nobody take that special moment away from you!"
