Calling All Youth!
I’m a firm believer that our youth are not the leaders of the future but they are the leaders of today. As a teenager I was able to express myself in so many ways, which allowed me to blossom my creativity. To provide a way for youth to express themselves Buffalo Literary Center is pleased to announce SOY: Spotlight On Youth—Open Mic For Ages 12-21, a FREE open mic series for all area youth on Wednesday, November 16th from 6:30—8:00 p.m. at Shea’s Smith Theater, 660 Main Street, Buffalo.
What’s great about this event is that the co-founder of Def Jam, Bruce George, will host the event and also the pre-event writing group. SOY is inviting all youth to come share their creativity through poetry, song, instrumental talent, dance, rap, photography, and any other creative talents that one may have. Refreshments will be served. So come out and enjoy a great time with the leader of today!
