Buffalo’s Great Expansion Is Coming
Buffalo is on the verge of a boom. And even if COVID has put a damper on most things, and the real estate, and development may have put things on hold. There is one thing to look forward to. Many old classic buildings are going to be renovated for both business and housing needs.
According to The Business Journals here are plans for the following institutions.
AM&A's department store at 377 Main Street is being transformed into commercial space that will include, 33 upscale apartments. I remember shopping there as a kid, with my grandmother. I was amazed at the massiveness of every building around it, including the one I currently work in.
The Krog Group working on The Trico Plant, on the corner of Washinton and Elm, is one of the more massive buildings and it looks like this is going to be a massive institution. Developers are looking to house 103 hotel rooms, 133 apartments, commercial space, and a 250 indoor parking garage.
If city living isn't your thing, it looks like Mickey Rats may be turning some real estate into apartments instead of hotel rooms. Lake Erie sunrises, and sunsets, all from the comfort of your own home.
Maybe you are more of a suburban type. Candlewood Suites is planning to take up residency on Transit Road in Lancaster. So now when visiting friends or relatives come into town, you don't need to make up the guest room.
So no matter where you live, or how you live: House, condo, or apartment. It is exciting that there will be more choices for everyone when choosing an abode.
