Buffalo Police Investigate After Woman Injured in Shooting
A 23-year-old Buffalo woman was injured in a shooting incident.
Buffalo Police are investigating the shooting of a 23-year-old woman in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 2, or Sunday, January 3, 2021. The woman arrived at the hospital around 12:20 am. According to WGRZ, she was driven in a private vehicle to Erie County Medical Center. The woman's condition has not been released. Detectives with the Buffalo Police Department are looking into whether the shooting happened on Shepard Street, near Broadway and Bailey Avenue. Buffalo Area Has Three Shootings on New Year's Morning
This shooting comes on the heels of three separate shootings in Buffalo and surrounding on New Year's Day. The first shooting was in Buffalo on E. Ferry St. near Purdy. A 20-year-old male was shot around 4:45 am. A little while later, police were investigating the shooting of a 23-year-old man in Tonawanda. The third shooting involved a 22-year-old male. That shooting happened near Fillmore Ave. and Utica St. in Buffalo. With today being the fourth day of the new year, that means we are averaging one shooting per day in 2021.
