National Gospel Artists To Hit Stage At Buffalo STILL Standing Relief Concert
Local and national gospel artists will be performing at the Buffalo STILL Standing Relief Concert. In partnership with Canisius College, the Upper Room Church of God in Christ food pantry is hosting the concert. The Buffalo Still Standing Relief Concert hopes to help provide healing for the community and city that was victimized by the mass shooting hate crime at the Tops on Jefferson Avenue.
The concert will feature local gospel singers Nia Badger, Lady Kathy Bowman, Jaimier Hennegan, and DaMarka Wheeler, who was a finalist on Season 7 of BET's 'Sunday Best'. Award-winning national gospel artist Randy Weston & Judah Band, along with Geoffrey Golden.
The concert will take place at Canisius College Spillman Lot on Jefferson Ave, Across from Upper Room Church of God in Christ, 131 Florida Street, Buffalo, NY 14208. The show is happening this Sunday, July 10 at 5 pm.
The Buffalo Still Standing Relief Concert was organized to promote healing and bring joy back to the eastside. In partnership with their neighbors at Canisius College, the Upper Room COGIC Food Pantry wants people to feel safe in that community again. Their goal is to bring everyone together; and food and music bring people together better than anything.
The Buffalo Still Standing Relief Concert is sponsored by Upper Room Church of God in Christ, Canisius College, Church Mutual, Senator Tim Kennedy, Councilman Ulysees O. Wingo Sr. and Masten District
