Things You Should Do Now To Be Ready For The Snowstorm
Winter is on its way to the 716 to say hi in a major way and when it arrives, think about taking a few of these steps to make sure you're ready.

It seems like we just put away those snow brushes and once again we're on the verge of a major snowstorm in Western New York. As the Buffalo area is finishing up its preparation for this snowstorm, there are quite a few things that we need to get together before the snowflakes fly.
If you're like me, then you likely haven't done anything yet to get ready for the snow, however, it's not too late; but you have to act fast. So before you run out to the local grocery store and clear the shelves of all the bottled water and toilet paper, take a few minutes to make a plan.

But don't take too long because time is running out before we have a few feet of snow on the ground.
Here Are A Few Things To Do To Get Ready For The Snowstorm
Gas For The Snowblower
Your snowblower has sat in the garage or shed since April, get that maintenance done now and make sure you have plenty of gas on hand because there's going to be lots of snow.
Refill Any Prescriptions That Are Low
With the amount of snow that's potentially coming, we might be stuck inside for a while. It's probably wise to run to the pharmacy as soon as possible and re-up on any of those key medicines that are running low.
Change Your Furnace Filter
If this will be the first time you turn your furnace on, it may be a good idea to change your furnace filter. In fact, doing this may also help reduce some of your heating costs.
