Officers with the Buffalo Police Department announced a huge drug bust today, Thursday, March 25, 2021. According to WIVB, the bust was the result of the efforts of several law enforcement agencies - the Buffalo Police Department, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security, the Erie Crime Analysis Center, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Seven people (see below) were arrested in the bust. Agents seized 200 pounds of marijuana, 12 pounds of cocaine and almost $1 million in cash. Officers also found seven handguns, two shotguns and an assault rifle. The investigation took more than two months to complete.

The following people were arrested in the bust, according to WIVB:

1. Darmetrius Braggs, 23, of Buffalo charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance.

2. Najarae Thomas, 22, of Buffalo charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

3. Jonysha Richardson, 25, of Buffalo charged with  Criminal Possession of a Weapon and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

4. Anthony Taylor, 28, of Buffalo charged with Criminal Possession of Weapon.

5. Dwayne Fambo, 57, of Buffalo charged with Criminal

Possession of a Weapon by a previously convicted felon and numerous controlled substance charges ranging from A1 Felony and B Felony.

6. The Erie County Sheriff’s Office charged Miguel Rosario-Rolon with Criminal Possession of Weapon.

7. Byron Barns Criminal Possession Controlled substance.

Authorities conducted multiple raids during the investigation.
