Buffalo Police Detectives are investigating a double shooting that happened near the corner of Niagara Street and Farmer Street in Buffalo's Riverside section.

According to a report by reporting by WIVB, one man was killed and another was wounded in the shooting that happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

The two men were in a vehicle when shots rang out killing a 33-year-old man. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical professionals. The second victim, a 26-year-old man was grazed in the shooting. He was treated by paramedics at the scene and released.

The unidentified 45-year-old Buffalo was shot around 10 a.m. in the 200 block of Chelsea Place, which is between E. Delavan Street and Northland Avenue. He was taken to the Erie County Medical Center in a private car and he is listed in stable condition by medical officials.

Investigators have not yet released the names of the victims, nor have they released any additional information related to this shooting.

I haven't yet looked at the stats yet, but this just seems to have been a winter filled with violence. I don't know yet what we can do as a community to solve this, but I do know that if we put our collective heads together we can come up with a solution.
