Damar Hamlin And Buffalo Pal Giving Out 1,000 Backpacks

Buffalo Bill, Damar Hamlin, and the Police Athletic League of Buffalo have teamed up for a massive back-to-school giveaway. Western New York parents are invited to pre-register their child to participate in this free community event. Many working families in New York are struggling to make ends meet, and getting all the supplies kids need to go back to school is an additional burden on top of everyday life.

Damar Hamlin’s Charity, Chasing M’s Foundation, along with Buffalo PAL and the American Heart Association, will host a massive back-to-school kick-off celebration on Monday, August 25, 2025. They will be giving away book bags (while supplies last) to 1,000 pre-registered students. The bags will be stuffed with essential school supplies.

In addition, there will be a youth football clinic and CPR training event for the young people in attendance. The event will also feature free ice cream provided by Anderson Frozen Custard, games and activities, free haircuts, and a Hands-Only CPR training provided by the American Heart Association’s Nation of Lifesavers™. All attendees must be pre-registered for the event.

The free community event will take place at Johnnie B. Wiley Stadium, 1100 Jefferson Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14208, on Monday, August 25, from 3 to 6 pm.
