1. Bar Bill Tavern In East Aurora And Clarence

The two Bar Bill locations will be closed temporarily between February 12 and 19, 2023. They will reopen on Monday, February 20. Management said on the company's Facebook page that the closures are to give their staff a break,

The Bed Bath & Beyond location in The Boulevard Mall will be closing its doors. There will be two other locations remaining in WNY at the McKinley Mall and the Clarence Mall.

3. Regal Cinemas In Buffalo And Williamsville

The parent company of Regal, Cineworld, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is closing quite a few locations in New York. In WNY, the Regal Theaters - Elmwood Center 16 in Buffalo and Transit Center Stadium 18 and Imax in Williamsville - are slated to close. The exact dates that they will close are unclear, but according to Business Insider, Cineworld plans to reject the leases this month.

4. Taste of Siam In Buffalo

The Taste of Siam is located at 810 Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo. It is not closed yet, but the tentative last day for dining in is March 4. The restaurant will remain open for take-out orders only from March 7 through March 25, 2023.

After 36 years in business, Dessert deli on Maple Road in Amherst, closed its doors today, Saturday, February 11, 2023. It appears that the owners want to enjoy some well-deserved free time,

6. Hat Trix Bar and Grill In Hamburg

Hat Trix, which was located at 4923 Southwestern Blvd. in Hamburg has closed on January 22, 2023, to make way for a new Taco Bell location. The owner said that the restaurant will reopen at a new location, at some point, she is just not sure when.

7. The Globe In East Aurora

Tony Rome’s Globe Hotel in East Aurora closed on New Year’s Eve 2022. The historic business opened its doors in 1824. If it last just a couple more years, the Globe would have hit its 200-year anniversary.

8. JOANN Fabrics and Crafts In Batavia

The store that was once located at 4152 W. Main in Batavia closed its doors permanently on January 15, 2023. Shauntina Lilly, JOANN Manager of Public Relations, Diversity, and Inclusion, told WKBW,

In alignment with standard brick and mortar business processes, JOANN closes stores occasionally while simultaneously investing in, and opening brand-new stores to best meet the needs of our customers. The last day of business for the Batavia store is January 15, 2023.

There are still three JOANN stores open in WNY - Amherst, Williamsville, and Blasdell.
