Buffalo Man Owes the IRS $1 Million From Debt Collection Businesses
Damn, the irony! I bet this guy hopes the government shutdown goes on forever, so he doesn't have to worry about paying the IRS! Check this out!!
Dorian Wills of Buffalo owes the Internal Revenue Service $1 million in taxes! According to a press release from the Department of Justice, Wills pled guilty to tax evasion, which could mean up to five years behind bars and a $250,000 fine, on top of paying back the taxes he owes! And the DOJ isn't playing, they got receipts on Wills!
According to documents and information provided to the court, between April 2010 and October 2013, the defendant operated a debt collection business under various names, including Heritage Capital Services LLC; Performance Payment Processing LLC; Performance Payment Service LLC; Pinnacle Payment Service LLC; and Velocity Payment Solutions LLC.
The DOJ says that his debt collection companies were involved in illegal practices, like making threats and harrasing debtors (make note, if any of his companies called you, you might be able to file a complaint, just saying). He is also accused of using his companies to collect on debt that didn't actually exist or that weren't permitted to be collected! Wills businesses earned almost $5 million from gross receipts in 2012!
