The City of Buffalo is searching for a few good men and women to become firefighters. Mayor Byron W. Brown announced that firefighters will be out and about around Bufffalo to provide more information about taking the city's fire exam.
Our goal is to reach as many potential fire recruits as possible through our “Home of the Brave” campaign, and the informational sessions at supermarkets citywide will allow neighborhood residents easy access to details about careers in fire service. It will be one-stop shopping for fire exam information and picking up some groceries.
A group of the department's women firefighters will be located inside the Buffalo City Hall Lobby Monday through Friday from 11 am to 1 pm through the end of March. They will be available to answer any questions about the job.
