Buffalo Man Sentenced To Prison For Killing Victim Over Money
One Buffalo man is dead and now one man will spend decades in prison due to an argument over money. Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced that the 30-year-old defendant was sentenced on the morning of Monday, May 23, 2022, before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case. The Buffalo man will serve 21 years in prison, followed by 5 years of post-release supervision. Quinton O. Turner killed a man during an argument over money.
On January 5, 2020, at approximately 5 am, Turner stabbed the victim multiple times inside a convenience store located on East Ferry Street near Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo. The men were arguing over money for damage to a vehicle. Another Buffalo man, 29-year-old Ronald Green, died from his injuries near the scene of the crime.
Turner fled to Charlotte, North Carolina. On January 31, 2020, he was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service and returned to Western New York to face prosecution. He pleaded guilty to one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree on April 18, 2022.
New York State Man Added To U.S. Marshal’s 15 Most Wanted Fugitives List
The U.S. Marshal Service has been busy in New York State. A New York State man has been added to the United State Marshal's top 15 most wanted list of fugitives for the murder of a child. The accused baby killer is currently the only New Yorker on the list. He is considered dangerous and is likely traveling with his husband, Neil Garzon.

Odeja, who is 40-years-old, allegedly killed a 6-week-old baby. On Dec. 3, 2019, Cohoes Police Department in New York responded to his residence after being called to help an unresponsive baby, Eli Ojeda. The infant died at the hospital. An autopsy revealed he died of acute methamphetamine toxicity and physical trauma.
The suspect claimed to be the baby's father. He was charged with second-degree murder. Odeja's husband was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and hindering prosecution. Odeja was due back in court on August 24, 2021, but was a no-show. It was determined that he and his husband fled the area, assisted by family and other associates.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered For information leading to Odeja's arrest.
