Buffalo Nightclub Owner Arrested On Drug Charges

By the looks of things, the Erie County Sheriffs Office has been quite busy lately in Western New York after they announce two significant drug arrests in the City of Buffalo.

In a press conference held by officials from the Sheriff's Department and District Attorney on Monday, March 4, 2024, they gave details about the two individuals they took into custody in East Buffalo and what they have been charged with.

According to WIVB-TV, on Friday, March 1, 2024, Sheriff's Deputies took two Buffalo to jail after a lengthy investigation that included surveillance in partnership with the Buffalo Police Department, Cheektowaga Police Department, and FBI.

Both Antonio Broadus, a 38-year-old man, and Michael Ray Jackson, 59-year-old, from Buffalo were arrested and charged with a slew of offenses that include both illegal gun and drug charges.

In the press conference, officials detail they executed a search warrant at Broadus' home on High Street in Buffalo's Fruit Belt neighborhood, and allegedly found guns and drugs, along with video of him trying to dispose of other illegal material. Deputies also said they found drug packing materials along with a large amount of cash in the house.

While doing the search warrant, deputies claim that say Jackson, the owner and operator of the Groove Lounge on Broadway, drive by the house on High Street. Deputies sent officers to home of Jackson's girlfriend where they took him into custody where they allegedly found cocaine and other items that linked him to the illegal materials.

Both were taken to the Erie County Holding Center and charged with several crimes, including multiple counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a Weapon of an Assault Weapon.
