As Buffalo's weather looks like it's finally ready to turn the corner away from winter and head decideily towards spring, there are tons of signs all over Western New York that are agreeing with us that spring has finally arrived in town.

IF you look around, it really seems like its spring: the temperatures are warming up, the Bisons are playing baseball, the Bandits are in the playoffs again (and so are the Sabres), even the Ice Boom is coming out of the water. The 13th Annual Buffalo Cherry Blossom Festival is set to happen on Saturday, April 25, 2026, and Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Japanese Gardens in Buffalo's Delaware Park.

One of the most beautiful sights in Western New York is looking over the Delaware Park Mirror Lake at all the pink flowers blooming and reflecting in the spring sun.

Over the two day festival, there will be tons of activities to do. Things like riding the pink boats in Hoyt Lake, performances by Shibuki Taiko Drum and Odori no Kai Dance Group, plus other local musicians spread across multiple stages. Not to mention plenty of bonsai, origami, Japanese language lessons, and crafts , painters, and tons of vendors & food trucks.

The official festival runs from 11 am to 3 pm both days. You can find more details about the festival here, along with a map of all the activities here.
