New Restaurant Set To Open In Downtown Buffalo

Running a people-related business in Western New York's central business district has been pretty tough for the last few years. As cities around the nation try to navigate the new normal since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, city centers and gathering places all over the country have had to reinvent themselves to find a way to get people to return.

That is a recurring theme for places like downtown Buffalo that have a lot fewer people roaming around the streets, thanks to urban sprawl and an increase in work-from-home options.

As the city's civic and business leaders look for ways to increase excitement about coming downtown, folks who come to town now have another option to grab a bite to eat in a pretty elegant environment in one of Buffalo's most famous squares.

Downtown Buffalo Art Gallery Is Opening a Bistro Restaurant

Buffalo is a great cultural destination in the northeast, with all sorts of amazing museums and galleries that offer plenty to do. The C. Stuart and Jane H. Hunt Art Gallery, which is located in Lafayette Square in downtown Buffalo, is getting a nice addition with Beebe's on the Square, a new and hip European-style bistro.

Beebe's on the Square will feature lunch, small plates, cocktails, and happy hour, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm.

The location is also set to be an event space that will be available for those holding private gatherings, which will have full catering and bar services available.

According to advertisements shared with downtown businesses, the bistro is set to open on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
