Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse - the word is out - the US Post Office may stop delivering mail, if Congress doesn’t step in and prevent the postal service from defaulting.

The post office currently needs a $5.5 Billion bailout, by the upcoming Sept. 30th deadline, to cover the payment to its employee healthcare plan.

“Our situation is extremely serious,” the postmaster general, Patrick R. Donahoe, told the New York Times. “If Congress doesn’t act, we will default.”
