According to Business Insider, Beyoncé said in a statement, “This is the partnership of a lifetime for me. Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business.”

She also added in the statement she looks forward to

“relaunching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader.”

As you all know Ivy Park was founded back in 2016 in conjunction with fashion retailer Top Shop. As we previously reported, back in November of last year, Beyoncé brought out Top Shop founder Philip Green to become full owner after he faced allegations of sexual harassment and racial abuse.

With this new partnership with Adidas, Beyoncé will remain the owner of Ivy Park. The press release noted that she’s “one of the first black women to be the sole owner of an athleisure brand.”

Aside from working on new pieces together, Beyoncé and Adidas said in a press release that they will also be working on “unique purpose-driven program focused on empowering and enabling the next generation of athletes, creators, and leaders.”
