A Buffalo Police Officer Arraigned For Two Separate Domestic Violence Incidents
An officer with the Buffalo Police Department was arraigned on charges related to two separate domestic violence incidents. Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced yesterday, November 8, 2021, that Keenan J. Redmon was arraigned in Buffalo City Court. On Friday, November 5, Redmon went before Judge JaHarr Pridgen on charges of
One count of Menacing in the Second Degree (Class “A” misdemeanor) and two counts of Harassment in the Second Degree (violations).
On July 22, 2021, around 11 pm, Redmon allegedly physically assaulted a woman by grabbing her by the back of her neck at a restaurant on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo. Then, in a separate incident, on August 24, 2021. around 11 pm, he forced the same woman into a bathroom in her home. He allegedly threatened her with a pistol. He was off-duty during both of the incidents. Redmon is due back in court this Friday, November 12, 2021, at 9:30 am. He was released on his own recognizance. Judge Pridgen issued an order of protection against Redmon on the victim's behalf. If he is convicted on the charges against him, he is facing one year behind bars.
