7 Ways You’ll Enjoy Buffalo’s Improved Waterfront

I picked a good time to move back to Buffalo. I see new restaurants everywhere around town. I'm attending major concerts coming to First Niagara Center. There is a huge surge in hotel openings. However, what seems to be my favorite thing about our growth is what's happening on our waterfront.

1) The Grain Elevator Across from Canalside Lights Up!

2) The Canalside Carnival

The huge Canalside Boardwalk Carnival over the Memorial Day weekend may soon become the official kick-off to the Western New York summer season.

3) Soak up the Sun or Enjoy a Sunset!

All along the water's edge of Western New York you can catch a breathtaking sunset.

4) The Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park is the nation’s largest inland naval park with a World War II era.

5) Shopping!

If you haven't noticed there is plenty of shopping in the clothing boutiques, Harborcenter, Fowler’s Candy Store and Clayton’s Gifts and Toys. Remember to head down to the waterfront on Saturday morning for the artisan market.

6) Canalside’s weekly concert series!

The Buffalo Common Council has again approved the very popular free concert series at Canalside. Get as close to the stage as you can this summer.

7) Ice Skating!

In conclusion, our new and improved waterfront is simply an awesome place to be all year round.
