An 18-year-old Buffalo woman was found dead in a vehicle parked in Martin Luther King Jr. Park. Police received a call around 2:30 Saturday, April 17, 2021, according to WIVB. When police arrived on the scene at MLK Park in Buffalo, they found the young woman deceased in a vehicle, which had been parked in the park overnight. The murder is considered to be domestic in nature. An 18-year-old male, Mushagalusa Nankumba, has been charged with second-degree murder. The Erie County Medical Examiner is investigating the cause of death.

Leass than a week before this murder, a man was fatally shot this morning, Monday, April 12, 2021. Buffalo Police were on the scene early this morning, around 5:40 am, according to WIVB. The shooting took place in a parking lot on 7th Street. A man was found deceased from a gunshot wound. According to an article DJ Ed Nice wrote, there were 20 homicides in the City of Buffalo since the beginning of the year. An investigative report by Channel 7, WKBW, said that 72 people have been shot since the start of 2021, with almost a third of those shooting incidents ending in a fatality.

It's sad for anyone to lose their life due to gun violence, especially young people like this 18-year-old victim. Gun violence seems to be a huge problem in Buffalo and America.
