On this day in Black History we remember a man who broke down many color barriers and became the first African-American person named to the American Davis Cup. He also won both the Wimbledon and U.S. Open titles and earned the world’s number one ranking in both 1968 and 1975. He became the first African American male inducted into the International Tennis Hall Of Fame in 1985.

He was Arthur Ashe and on this day in 1993 he joined the ancestors.
