Substitute assistant teacher, Jaqueline J Barnes of Aldie, was charged for being drunk in public on the first day of school. Authorities say Monday morning around 9, school personnel told a school resource officer that a teacher had arrived at Stone Hill Middle School and appeared to be intoxicated. Barnes was seen "acting erratically" before school started. She never came in contact with any students.
The spokesperson couldn't comment directly about Barnes being suspended or being banned from the property, but said in similar cases a substitute teacher is usually dropped from his or her role at the school. I guess i'm not the only one who had a teacher who came to school drunk. I swear my 10th grade English teacher was drunk all the time, I think she used to mix hennessy with her coffee. Let's look at this from the positive side atleast she wasn't caught getting it in with the students.
