Senator Marco Rubio became famously funny this month for his mid-speech water break -- and gulp -- while delivering the Republican response to President Obama's State of the Union Address. These days Rubio is schooling us on the rap game.

The Florida politician shared his thoughts on Lil Wayne's recent comment referring to himself as "the new ‘Pac." "There's only one Tupac," Rubio said. “Tupac lived in a different time. These guys have some message in what they’re saying, but I think they’re largely entertainers.”

He continued to explain the difference between the "entertainers" and the lauded West Coast emcee who was murdered in a drive-by shooting in 1996. ”I think Tupac was more someone who was trying to inform us about what was going on, and he did it through entertainment,” the Florida senator explained.

In his interview, he told the website that he is the only senator from the south that is a member of the Hip Hop Caucus. When he's not listening to Tupac, Rubio is blasting Nicki Minaj and Pitbull according to a Spotify playlist he recently created and posted.
