Paramount Pictures Unit Production Manager Wendy Williams joined Mayor Brown in his office Wednesday at Buffalo City Hall where it was announced that the film company will spend at least $7 Million to film action sequence scenes for the New Ninja Turtles Movie!

“We are pleased to have this major movie production in Buffalo,” said Mayor Brown, noting that today’s announcement continues his commitment to support growing industries, including Buffalo’s emerging film industry.

According to the Press Release, Paramount Pictures has booked over 2, 200 room nights in local hotels. In addition, Paramount Pictures will be hiring local crews, eating in local restaurants and spending their money in Buffalo.

There doesn't appear to be a need for any extras / background actors, as much of the action will be performed by stunt actors.

In order to shoot the scenes, the Kensington Expressway/ Route 33 will be shut down in both directions from downtown Buffalo to Route 198 from 7pm – 6am May 4th - May 17th 2015.

There will be posted detours to get you in and out of the City during those times. When the movie debuts in Theaters in 2016, we will definitely recognize the 33 Expressway in the 7 minute clip. Will you be watching?
