Jay-Z and Kanye Get Sued

Hip Hop “Kings” Jay-Z and Kanye West may be facing a lawsuit in the near future, according to MTV.

R&B/Soul Singer Syl Johnson has threatened the duo with a lawsuit if an agreement isn’t met. Apparently Jay and Kanye credited Johnson for a sample on their certified Gold album Watch the Throne that he wasn’t aware of. The track “The Joy” samples “Different Strokes” and appears as a bonus track.

Syl Johnson and his team at Uno Group reached out to Def Jam about settling the dispute out of court. But if they can't come to an agreement, expect to see it in court.
