Gospel Music Association Dove Awards

Artists from newcomers to veterans, including national Gospel recording artist and pastor Marvin Sapp, carry nominations this week to the annual Gospel Music Association Dove Awards.

Christian music stalwarts tobyMac and Chris Tomlin have six nominations each, including overall artist of the year and top song of the year.

Sapp has four nominations, including for artist and male vocalist of the year. The pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church on Burton Street SE, has both his latest album (“Here I Am”) and its hit song (“The Best In Me”) in line for Doves.
