Meet April 12th's Winner, Brandy Lee!!
Brandy considers herself one of the best stylist in Buffalo, working as one of only 3 elite stylist in the Seneca Niagara Casino! She's also in law school! Brandy says, "Being a foster care youth I knew early on I didn't want to follow in the path of my parents so dead set on giving my siblings a better life and a better role model! I am WNY's hardest working woman of the week because I never give up!" Keep pushin' Brandy!!
Meet April 5th's Winner, Jenae Moody!!
Jenae is a very hard-working, dedicated single mother of two growing boys! Her youngest son, 3-year-old Justice, has a foot disability and they have been through so many surgeries. She also is mom to a 6 year old Juden. Jenae says, "I have maintained my own home since I became a mother at 18! I work so hard to pay those bills. I went and got my CNA and PCA certificate with hopes to open up my own business soon for children's entertainment." Keep reaching towards making your dreams a reality and keep representing for hard-working women!!
Meet March 29th's Winner, Rhonda Washington!!
Rhonda is a teacher aide, who has been employed by Aspire of WNY (formerly UCPA) for 17yrs! She has the challenging job of working with children with disabilities. Rhonda says, "The children I work with have various disabilities- cerebral palsy, autism, down-syndrome, as well as social and emotional issues. To be in my field it takes a "lot "of patience. To be in this field of work you definitely have a caring with a big heart. I truly love my work. I get so much pleasure seeing my student accomplish one of their goals. They aren't just my students they are like a part of my family!!" We salute you for dedicating your life's work to helping children who are differently-abled become better!
Meet March 22nd's Winner, Michelle Lane!!
Michelle is currently working full-time as a clinical behavior therapist for the dual diagnosed. She also works part-time in behavior analysis therapy with adolescents. Michelle is working on her PhD in marriage and family therapy! She says, "I am a single mom who is very active in my daughter's school. I volunteer for Girl Scouts, I provide behavior consulting to her charter school, and I'm apart the the parents association. I love helping people!" Keep reppin' for the hard-working women!!
Meet March 15th's Winner, Kaila Barnes!!
Kaila Barnes is a 22-year-old, full-time Credit Manager at Rent-A-Center and a student at NCCC, who is majoring in Education. She says "I hope to be a high school English teacher! I work hard on a daily basis to take care of 3-year-old son and to help my 6 younger siblings! I will give my last to anyone who needs it!" Well today we give you praise Kaila! Meet March 8th's Winner, Mariah King!!
Mariah is a 20-year-old working mother. She works 6 days a week as a personal care aide. She is also mom to a 5-month-old girl named Ja'Riah, who was born prematurely at 30 weeks, weighing in at 2 pounds/8 ounces. Mariah says "Seeing my daughter fight for her life in the hospital encouraged me to never give up. I've been through so many setbacks in life and I am currently struggling right now, but there's always a rainbow after the storm and mommy will always make a way. I'm so thankful for my baby girl! And thank you Children's Hospital for saving my baby!"
Meet March 1st's Winner, Cherelle Warren!!
Cherelle Warren is mom to a 4-year-old son and works two and a half jobs! In addition to all that, she's in school full-time at NCCC and trains in MMA! "I train at WNYMMA. I hope to get in the ring soon. I think I live up to the name of Buffalo's hardest working woman!" We agree, so congrats Cherelle!
Meet February 22nd's Winner, Misty Lipka!!
Misty works 3 rotating jobs to make sure the bills are paid! She also makes sure she's home in time to cook dinner and put it on the table so when the kids get home from school they have something warm to eat. Misty says, "I'm willing to help anyone in need and I do it with a smile. I love and appreciate my Family and Life everyday. I am a proud hard working woman and mother!" Keep it up Misty, we see you!
Meet February 15th's Winner, Sherrell Marie!!
Sherrell had 3 degrees by the time she was 23! She accomplished that while working part time at the Galleria Mall and playing Division 3 volleyball at Buffalo State! Sherrell has a Bachelor's in psych and social work and Masters in social work). She says, "I have been volunteering with Big Bro/Big Sis for the last 2 yrs. I currently work full-time as an LMSW at a community based agency. I still work part time at the mall and I just finished my 4th volunteer coaching season w/ Nickel City Volleyball Club. I'm looking forward to my 2nd season as assistant coach for D'Youville Volleyball. I also have been helping my Alma Mater (City Honors) volleyball the past 5 yrs!" Girl, you got a LOT going on and we LOVE IT! Keep up the amazing work!!
Meet February 8th's Winner, Shannon Loveland!!
Shannon has a BA in psychology and a Masters in Mental Health counseling. She works for an agency full-time in mental health and addictions. She also works part-time at a local restaurant. Shannon says, "I maintain my own household. I also play volleyball on Tuesday nights. During my little bit of free time I have I spend it with friends, family and my man. In addition to all that I help my boyfriend's mother with anything she needs!" You're a BUSY woman Shannon! Keep hustling hard!
