Xscape Members Drop Kandi Burruss to Become XSCAP3, Sign With CAA
And now there are three. Xscape members have parted ways with Kandi Burruss and officially changed their name to XSCAP3.
The change is to signify that Kandi will not be involved with their upcoming album Here for It. Kandi has expressed that although she loves the remaining group members -- Tameka "Tiny" Harris, LaTocha Scott and Tamika Scott -- she’s not performing any new music with them.
In addition to the name change, the trio has signed with Creative Artists Agency for worldwide representation in all areas, according to Billboard.
The group joins CAA's talented roster which includes Cardi B, Wu-Tang Clan, Logic, Andra Day, Fetty Wap, Tinashe, A$AP Rocky and Tiny's ex-husband T.I.
XSCAP3 is also being managed by Tamar Braxton's ex-husband Vincent Herbert. "We love what he did with Tamar and Lady Gaga and we also knew he understood the business. We're really excited," Tiny told HipHollywood about their partnership with Herbert.
XSCAP3 is set to release their new project Here for It, which will arrive o March 3 through their own label, XSCAP3 Entertainment. Their next single “Memory Lane” will drop on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14).
XSCAP3 (or Xscape) is also working on a biopic about their lives to Bravo. Love & Hip Hop mastermind Mona Scott Young on board to produce the project. The TV movie is expected to air this year.
