Woman Faked Being Kidnapped To Avoid Paying Her Employees
When someone has to run you your money, what’s the best excuse you’ve heard? Well try this one on for size–a California woman allegedly lied about being kidnapped because she was unable to pay the employees of her family’s trucking business.
Police are preparing an arrest warrant for 33-year-old #MariaGonzalez who reported on Saturday that she had been kidnapped at gunpoint by two masked men at an intersection in #Fresno, according to Fox News
According to Gonzalez, this is how the story unfolded. She allegedly claimed she was ordered by the men to drive. She then claimed to lose consciousness and woke up in a home in #Caruthers, which is about 20 miles south of Fresno, with her hand tied and a rag in her mouth!
She also said she was robbed of $9,000 that she intended to use to pay her employees. Investigators figured out that Gonzalez made up the reported kidnapping because she didn’t have money to pay two of the employees. Police plan to arrest her for filing a false police report.
