A locally-owned candle company in Western New York stands with Ukraine, and they have debuted a new product to help aid the civilizations.

Buffawix Candle Co. is owned and operated by one of your Tonawanda neighbors, Kristine Bailey. She started making candles for fun back in 2019, and just about a year later, she decided to launch her own candle company.

Now, Bailey has launched a new candle scent to raise money for this foundation that helps aid with everything happening in Ukraine.

The Instagram post says:

“Our Herd knows no boundaries. Buffawix Candle Co. is partnering with the Ukrainian American Freedom Foundation who provides humanitarian and medical aid to war victims in the Ukraine.”

The “All One Herd” candle is sunflower scented, and you can order it here. Half of the proceeds will go to UAFF with all of the candles starting to ship out next week.

Bailey’s neighbor has many family members over in Ukraine, and she wanted to do something, especially after hearing what some of them were sharing.

“Once they [neighbor’s family] said, ‘Families are sending children to school with blood type,’” Bailey said.

“As a mother, I couldn’t imagine.”

The candles are $19, with half of all proceeds going towards the Ukrainian American Freedom Foundation. You can get yours on the Buffawix Candle Co. website
