Restaurant Impossible, which is hosted by Robert Irving, will feature a few Western New York restaurants, starting with Casa Di Francesca's in South Buffalo. Steven Marchione. the owner, says he got a call from producers of the show, but wasn't sure if it was a prank, according to WKBW,

"I didn't know if it was real or not," he said. "They said that we heard through an email someone had sent us, that you had a lot of ups and downs."

Marchione, who is a single dad, told the producers about his story. The restaurant was previously closed due to COVID-19, but then opened for takeout and curbside pick up, but was still struggling. He has also experience personal hardships over the years,

"I lost my mother who was my partner, so that was another big blow. A couple years later, unfortunately my house burned down. Every time I seem to be getting back on my feet another big thing happens, like COVID."

The show's team spent about 30 hours in Casa Di Francesca's. The show has revised the menu, which now features creations by the host, chef Robert Irving. Casa Di Francesca's, which is located at 2022 Seneca Street in Buffalo, will be open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 4 pm to 10 pm. You can visit its website for more info.

The Restaurant Impossible episode will air on the Food Network in January 2021.
