Iconic Family Restaurant In Western New York Will Auction Their Locations
You could be the new owner of an iconic Italian restaurant in Western New York!
The restaurant is called “Como Restaurant,” which is an anchor of Little Italy on Pine Avenue. You may remember their traditional Italian entrees and the “build your own pasta” dishes, and after being family-owned for 95 years, it is time to pass the baton.
The Como Restaurant is planning to be sold in an online auction next month, but here’s a bonus: it’s not just one location. You may remember that the main location for the Como Restaurant is at 2220 Pine Avenue. That location will be placed on auction, but the winning bidder will also have the option of picking up leases on two other Como locations, including the location on Niagara Falls Boulevard in the Falls and the one on Center Street in Lewiston.
The minimum opening bid may seem high, but you have to think of the opportunity here to start something locally.
According to the Niagara Action Facebook page, the auction’s minimum opening bid starts at $475,000 when it goes live next month.
Many Western New Yorkers are sad to see one of their favorite places closing its doors, but a lot of restaurant-goers took to the Facebook comments section to reminisce their favorite memories at Como Restaurant.
Joni from Niagara Falls called Como Restaurant “always a favorite for young and old,” and Brenda called it “the end of an era.”
I couldn’t have said it better myself, Brenda.
