The Girl Scouts of Western New York will hold day and overnight camp programs in-person for the 2021 summer camp season, according to a press release I received.  After holding virtual camps in 2020, registration for the in-person summer camps is open.  Girls ages 5-17 can register to attend day camp, resident camp, and/or family summer camp.  All COVID-19 guidelines and regulations will be followed.

Camps all begin in July and run until the beginning of August.  Young ladies do not need to currently be members of the Girls Scouts - they can sign up for membership when they apply for camp.  Financial aid is available for girls who live in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming counties.  The cost differs for each camp, based on the type of camp and length.

With a new series of over 50 outdoor programs for girls, summer camp is a great way for girls to explore leadership, build skills, and develop a deep appreciation for nature. Whether for a day, a week, or longer, Girl Scout camp gives girls an opportunity to grow, explore, and have fun in an all-girl environment under the guidance of caring, trained adults. ~ Girl Scouts press release
