2025 has been an amazing year for concerts, events, and shows in Western New York, with some of the greatest names in music having made their way to the Buffalo region. We've seen great shows hit from Rochester to Toronto and everywhere in between, featuring some great music.

Not only have we seen mega-concerts featuring amazing artists like Mary J. Blige, Nelly, Weird Al Yankovic, and more, but we've also seen great comedians like Kevin Hart and Jerry Seinfeld in the region, plus world-class actors like Morgan Freeman as well. When the summer is over and we all go back inside to hibernate until next year, many of us will look back and say this has been one of the best summers we've had in years.

The great entertainment continues as there are even more shows on the way, and you have the opportunity to see one of the greatest R&B groups ever, live, when they come to Western New York.

The Commodores Are Performing Live At Batavia Downs, And You Can Win Tickets

Back in 1968, when friends who were students at Tuskegee University decided to join together due to their love for jazz music, Lionel Richie, Thomas McClary, William King, Andre Callahan, Michael Gilbert, and Milan Williams partnered up to create The Commodores. For more than 50 years, the Commodores have entertained crowds with their amazing vocals, giving us some of the biggest hits we've heard.

Hits like Easy, Brickhouse, Three Times a Lady, Machine Gun, Nightshift, and more, the Commodores are known for a smooth form of soul and funk music that has spanned 5 decades, produced 15 studio albums, and 39 singles over the years. It has also kick-started the solo careers of R&B singers Walter Orange, James Ingram, and Lionel Richie.

The band has been our tour is heading to Western New York to perform live at Batavia Downs on Friday, August 8, 2025. Tickets to the show are on sale now, and you can grab them from the Batavia Downs website and box office.
