Today, the world will be posting and eating their favorite breakfast meal, Donuts. I did wonder how did National Donut Day even start? Well I was able to find some history about it and it all started back in 1938 according to Wiki.

The Salvation Army founded National Donut Day in Chicago as a tribute to the "Donut Lassies."During World War I, the "Donut Lassies" were female volunteers who provided free donuts for soldiers on the front lines.

To celebrate this year's National Donut Day, the Salvation Army will be handing out free donuts all around Buffalo, at places such as the Larkin Building and Fox Run senior living.

This will be happening throughout the day.
