Western New York Kid starts “Crops for Cancer”
She goes by the name of Teaghan Fowler and she is only in the 5th Grade and she might have created one of the next big things for creating Cancer awareness along with funding. She is from the town of Pendlelton and on Dunnigan Road is where you can see her selling veggies for raise funds for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
According to WGRZ:
Teaghan says she wanted to start a garden with her grandmother, while at the same time raising money for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. That's how the "Crops 4 Cancer" stand was born.
"Crops 4 Cancer" wow. What a incredible movement this young lady has started. Could you imagine if Grocery stores picked up this concept. Purchase some fresh produce and portion of proceeds go towards a local Cancer initiative but for now Teaghan and her grandmother grow zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and pumpkins for sale, for whatever you can pay for donation. So far the stand has raised over $900 for Roswell Park. Amazing job young lady.
