West Seneca Police Need Help Finding Woman Who Saved a Man’s Life on The 400

There was a major accident today on the 400 on Friday and it could have been much worse if it wasn't for one woman.

The accident happened around midday today along the 400, between the Union Road and Transit Road exits in West Seneca, according to WKBW.

West Seneca Police say that the woman saw the accident happened and stopped to help. The accident was very serious -- a rollover crash that caused a man to have a severe laceration to his arm, which caused him to lose a large amount of blood.

The woman, who said she was a nurse, used a set of jumper cables to create a makeshift tourniquet and helped stop more severe bleeding until emergency crews got to the scene to assist. The quick action saved the man's life, West Seneca Police are saying.

The West Seneca Police Department's Facebook post admits the woman said she was a nurse, but called her this man's "guardian angel."

The woman left by the time more emergency personnel arrived, and while the West Seneca Police Department understands some people don't want added attention for their good deeds, the actions this woman took absolutely deserve further thanks yous because it helped save a Western New Yorker's life.
