Big Loss In Baltimore Leaves Bills Embarrassed

Coming from a massive win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the undefeated Buffalo Bills hopped on a quick flight to Baltimore to take on the 1-2 Baltimore Ravens inside M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday Night Football.

The Bills, set to appear in several primetime games this year, were riding high with hopes of extending their win streak. However, that was not in the cards for Buffalo as the Ravens scored early, often, and everymore while cruising to a big victory over the Bills.

The scoring started quickly for Baltimore as Running Back Derrick Henry scooted 87 yards to put the first touchdown on the scoreboard. According to the NFL's Next Generation Stats, Henry ran more than 21 miles per hour on his way downfield to give Baltimore the early lead.

Not only did Henry score first, but he also essentially ran all over Buffalo's defense, accumulating 199 yards on 24 carries. This game wasn't all Derrick Henry, as Lamar Jackson completed 13 of his 18 passes, throwing for 156 yards, two touchdowns, and running for a third. Wide Receiver Justice Hill caught 6 of those passes, gaining 78 yards and scoring one of the touchdowns.

While the Ravens controlled the pace of the game, the Bills showed a little life in the third quarter with a big catch from Khalil Shakir, which led to a Ty Johnson touchdown. Outside of that, the game was all Baltimore, with the Ravens defense keeping the Bills' offense in check while sacking Josh Allen three times.

When the game was all over, Baltimore shut down the Bills and won 35 to 10.

The Bills are now getting ready to return to the road to Houston to meet the Texans. Buffalo will reunite with former wide receiver Stefon Diggs on Sunday, October 1, 2024.
