Week two of the 2024 NFL season kicked off with a bang. Two of the three undefeated teams in the AFC East faced off in prime time. The Buffalo Bills traveled to Miami, Florida, to face the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football.

The Dolphins were listed as 2.5-point favorites against the AFC Champion Bills in their first of two regular-season meetings this year.

Humid temperatures in Miami Gardens greeted both teams as the game kicked off, with Miami taking control of the ball first. That initial Dolphins drive didn't last very long, as Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa tossed an interception to number 46 on the Bills' defense, Ja'Marcus Ingram. The Bills took that opportunity and quickly moved down the field to score, with James Cook taking a pass and catching it for a touchdown.

With the Fins now down by one score, the team received the next kickoff and marched 70 yards down the field, with Jaylen Waddle scoring a game-tying touchdown.

The end of the first quarter essentially marked the end of the parity between the two teams, as the Dolphins only managed to score three more points.

The remainder of the game belonged to the Buffalo Bills, as the team systematically dismantled the fins throughout the second and third quarters. The Bills scored 24 points in those two quarters, including a Tyler Bass field goal and touchdowns by James Cook and Ja'Marcus Ingram.

The Bills thoroughly manhandled the Dolphins in a game that clearly shows why the Bills have won multiple AFC East titles over the last few years.

This game marks the 122nd time the Bills and Dolphins have faced off against each other since 1960. While the Bills have won 13 of the last 15 times these teams have played, the Dolphins lead the all-time series 62-59-1.

With this victory in hand, the Bills look forward to Monday Night Football on September 23, 2024, when they will face the Jacksonville Jaguars.
