The high-flying Buffalo Bills took to the skies and flew to sunny Los Angeles to take on the LA Rams in hopes of continuing their win streak and their march toward the number one seed in the AFC playoff race. The 6-6 Rams, who were one game back in leading the NFC West division, were hoping to snap the Bills' win streak and increase their chances of making the postseason, as they're on the bubble.

The game started quickly for the Rams as they marched down the field with the game's first possession. Rams running back Kyren Williams scored the game's first points with a 3-yard touchdown run right around the 8-minute mark of the game. Little did we know at the time this would be the first of several scores both teams would put up as the game progressed. The first quarter also saw Bills superstar Josh Allen add to his touchdown total as he was able to take the ball one yard for the Buffalo's first score with around 3 minutes left in the first quarter.

The Rams' Joshua Karty booted in a 22-yard field goal, giving Los Angeles the lead, and the Rams' defense and special teams stepped up significantly, blocking a Sam Martin punt with Hunter Long taking the loose ball back for another Rams touchdown. Not to be denied, Buffalo's Ty Johnson hauled in a 41-yard pass from Josh Allen to give the Buffalo their second score of the half.

At halftime, the Rams held on to a first-half lead, staying ahead of the Bills 24-14. This helped Los Angeles start out very well against the favored Bills.

The second half of football saw a flat-out shootout between two NFL teams, which hasn't happened a lot this season in the NFL. The Bills and Rams went back and forth, scoring touchdowns on the ground and through the air as both Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford threw for more than 300 yards passing with multiple touchdowns. Not to mention Buffalo's Khalil Shakir and Los Angeles' Puka Nacua both have more than 100 yards receiving, with both scoring for their team.

The Bills found a way to outscore the Rams in the second half, 28 to 20, but it wasn't enough to overcome as the Rams were able to hold off Buffalo 42-44. This game gives the Bills their 3rd loss of the season, dropping their record to 10-3, while the Rams improve to 7-6.

Buffalo now looks forward to NFL Week 15 when they travel to Detroit to take on the NFC best Lions at Ford Field on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Many pundits believe this is the preview of a possible Great Lakes Super Bowl.
