The Buffalo Bills take a road trip to face their former AFC East rivals, the Indianapolis Colts, and come away with a record-tying performance from QB Josh Allen en route to doing something the team hasn't done in more than two decades.

The defense for both teams showed up in a major way during this AFC match-up between the Bills and Colts, but it was the play of Josh Allen and the Bills offense as they stepped up to put the game away, giving Buffalo its 5th straight victory. This victory at Lucas Oil Field marks the first time the Bills have in Indianapolis since 1998.

The game started slow for the Bills offense but fast for the Bills defense. On Indianapolis' first offensive play, Taron Johnson intercepted Colts QB Joe Flacco and returned the ball to the end zone for a touchdown. Johnson's 23-yard interception return gave the Bills the first score of the game.

The Bills added a 29-yard Tyler Bass field goal later in the first quarter to give Buffalo a 10-0 lead.

Both defenses played well as the team went back and forth with field goals before Josh Allen ran 13 yards to score a touchdown, tying a Buffalo Bills record for rushing touchdowns.

The Bills held the lead over the Colts 20-13 at halftime.

The second half of football showed us how good the Bills' defense can be as they harassed Joe Flacco for most of the game. That play led to Flacco throwing three interceptions for the game.

James Cook scored a fourth-quarter touchdown with three minutes left in the game, helping to solidify the Bills' fifth consecutive win.

This victory gives the Bills a record of 8-2 for the first time since 1993, the last year the team went to the Super Bowl.

Now, the Bills look forward to NFL Week 11 on Sunday, November 17, 2024, when the team hosts the Kansas City Chiefs in Orchard Park. The Chiefs remain the only undefeated team in the NFL with a record of 9-0.
