El Paso, TX-A 27-year-old active soldier James Brown who did two tours of duty in Iraq, returns home, gets caught for DUI, self-reports for what was supposed to be a 2-day sentence at a Texas county jail.

When he arrives they tell him that he has to serve a 7-day sentence, he notifies his mother and breaks the news to her and decides that he would rather pay the fine than to be locked up for a week because he suffers from post traumatic stress syndrome.

His family is now suing the county because they will never see him alive again according to KFOX14 and his mother wants the world to see how he was treated while in custody.
