12 Vegetarian Options You Can Order From Mighty Taco In WNY

If you are turning over a new leaf in the new year and trying to consume less meat or dairy products, Mighty Taco actually has quite a few options. Some of these may be great options for you to enjoy for Lent also.

As a part-time plant-based bae myself, I am often looking for meat-free options at fast food restaurants. One of my favorite meat substitutes is Impossible brand beef. I also love their sausage. As a matter of fact, a couple of hours ago I made some breakfast tacos with Impossible sausage and Just Egg (they were delicious, 'cus I KNOW you wanted to know). I love the Impossible Whopper at Burger King and I will often order a dish made with Impossible meat at any restaurant that offers it.

Mighty Taco, a WNY staple, also offers quite a few options featuring Impossible meat.

Mighty Taco is a Mexican-style fast-food restaurant chain in the Buffalo, New York, United States, area. Mighty Taco restaurants are owned and operated by Mighty Taco Inc., a privately owned corporation. The Super Mighty, El Niño Burrito, Roastitios and Buffitos are signature products of Mighty Taco.

I'm not the biggest fan of Might Taco because I grew up on authentic Mexican food, but if I'm hungry and pass one, I will stop. I usually order their Meatless Super Mighty Buritto or a Garden Burrito. But, they actually have quite a few options for vegetarians that vegans can customize to remove the dairy.

Taco Bell also has some great vegetarian options, if Mighty Taco isn't your thing. I love their rice and bean cheesy burrito, substitute the refried beans with black beans, no cheese sauce, add guacamole, and add chopped onions, with mild sauce. The potato tacos are also good (unless they are old potatoes).

The great thing is that Mighty Taco's meatless menu is pretty affordable. What I have noticed is that a lot of restaurants will jack up the prices for their vegetarian and vegan options. I guess that's capitalism, but it still sucks for people looking for those options. If you are a strict vegan, meaning you won't even consume honey, I would check with Mighty Taco directly to make sure there are no animal by-products in any of the menu items I've listed below.
