After more than 11 years, Usher has sold the Alpharetta, Ga., mansion that he bought in 1998 for $1.2 million from the man who helped make him famous, L.A. Reid.

Usher first listed it in June 2007, then placed it on the market last April for $2.6 million, and it was purchased back in June for $1.5 million. Usher was represented by Keisha Trower of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties.

As reported by realtor.com, Usher described what it was like when Reid first showed him the home in 1991. “I came into this house," he said on a 2003 episode of How I'm Living, "and I remember walking through it, just being mesmerized by everything I saw, and it was like, ‘One day, I want to own a house like this.’ I ended up buying this house. There’s history in it. My history lies in this house.”

Situated in a gated golf community called the Country Club of the South, the 10,283-square-foot, seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom (seven full, three half) home sits on 0.87 acres. It has been remodeled to have an open floorplan, with the master suite -- complete with a "resort-style" bath -- on the main floor along with a chef's kitchen and a guest room with its own bathroom en suite. A terrace level includes a theatre, bar, yoga studio and a spa bath with a sauna. Three of the bedrooms are upstairs while another two are located in a two-level guest house that also has its own kitchen and dance studio. Outside, the home features a large deck with a heated pool, summer kitchen and a grass-covered playground.

Usher also has a home in West Hollywood, which he's been trying to sell for $3.7 million since February. In April, the house made headlines when it was reported that the house had been burglarized, with $820,000 in cash and jewelry stolen.
