Rising rapper Travi$ Scott is one of the more promising new artists in the game at the moment. But the rapper made headlines this morning not due to his music, but instead for being at the center of an all-out brawl. On Tuesday night (March 3), the "Mamacita" rhymer was performing with Young Thug and Metro Boomin in Tucson, Ariz. during a stop on his Rodeo Tour, when the show took a turn for the worse.

A fan approached Scott and the two began to engage in fisticuffs before security stepped in to break up the fight. Members of Scott's entourage and others also joined in the fracas as concert-goers looked on and filmed with their camera phones. You can also hear a male voice repeatedly shouting, "Kill that motherf---er, kill that n-----" throughout the two-minute clip. Apparently, the fight was started after the fan tried to snatch the rapper's chain, but as you can see, Scott wasn't going down without a fight and managed to stand his ground.

An interesting aspect of the story is that, according to bystanders, Young Thug was also one of the participants in the brawl and hopped off the stage and proceeded to help Scott put the beatings on the thieving fan. After things get settled and the fan is escorted out of the venue, the crowd begins to cheer on Travi$ Scott and give props to his fighting skills as the show resumes. Check below as DJ Akademiks gives insider info and his hilarious take on the situation.

After making his bones in the production world, Travi$ Scott has made the transition from beatsmith to emerging star with the fluidity of someone familiar with going against the grain. Affiliations with the likes of Kanye West and T.I. had put the rapper in a favorable position even before the release of his first full-length project, but he's surely taken advantage of it, releasing two buzzworthy mixtapes, including Days Before Rodeo, and counting down the days until his Epic Records debut, Rodeo, touches down later this month.

Be sure to look out for the Houston upstart's upcoming LP and catch him at a show near you. Just be sure to bring your brass knuckles or pepper spray because things may get ugly.
